The Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline project consists of a 116 km pipeline connecting the Gladstone and Rockhampton regions in Central Queensland. The project allows for approximately 30,000 ML of water to be extracted from the Lower Fitzroy River, treated and transferred to the existing GAWB network and its industrial customers near Gladstone.
SIS Group was engaged through an early contractor involvement (ECI) to provide a suitable solution for the complex 33kV underground cables constructions which were required to power the 4 x tunnel boring machines (TBM) The cable routes had to traverse the remote Snowy Mountains national parks area and totalled a distance of over 30km through sensitive environmental locations.
Australia’s Largest Wind Farm — With 162 Turbines Macintyre Wind Farm is the Largest Wind Farm in Southern Hemisphere. The Scale of this Project Makes it One of the Largest Onshore Wind Farms in the World. SIS Group was engaged through an early contractor involvement (ECI) to provide a solution for the underground construction of around 350km of 33kV cable trench excavation which traversed the project in extremely challenging terrain and geology.
Over the last 2 years SIS Group have been providing key roles in delivery of two of largest fibre optical projects in Australia for over 25 years. The Telstra InfraCo new Inter City Fibre Network ( ICF) which is a 14,000km of high-capacity, ultra-low-latency fibre across Australia – connecting major capital cities from north to south and east to west, and creating access points to connect regional and remote areas across some of the harshest working environments in the country.
